The FATE duology
by Janina Raven
"This isn’t just about me. I was never the main character in this. There is no main character in real life. We are all the main characters in our own stories."A Fate That Can’t Be Changed and If She Could Change Her Fate don’t tell the exact same stories. They tell the stories of two different lives that are both connected, but still independent from each other.

The Setting
Welcome to Sociema, the city of peace and freedom!
Well, at least in theory. In reality, however, those promises got broken soon after the project started.
What project, you may ask? Sociema is a city state, an experiment developed by several states all over the world, to find out if people from the most different ethnicities, social backgrounds and cultures can live together in peace - and it went well until the Civil War started...
If She Could Change Her Fate
ISCCHF follows the story of six teens after the Civil War, in a time of criminal gangs and the new government persecuting everybody who still believes in the old goals..."In the aftermath of the war, the three teens Caroline, Alessa and Natasha are left behind by their parents who want to support Kai Lange’s rebellious attempt to get back to power. The girls run away from home and form a gang, shooting down drones to sell their contents. What seems all fun and games at first, turns into deadly severity when gang leader Caroline is faced with a terrible decision.
Can she really let the people she loves join a fight where they are going to die – when they don’t even know it yet?

A Fate That Can't Be Changed
Despite being the prequel to ISCCHF, AFTCBC should be treated and read as the second book of the series. Depicting Sociema in the time before and during the war, the story of Andrew and Seraphina might hold spoilers for everything that happens to the Gang of Fate in ISCCHF..."A dream comes true for Seraphina Miles and Andrew McAllistair when they are elected into Sociema's parliament, but the façade of peaceful Sociema has been crumbling for years already. Riots and a civil war threaten the city, and it's not only their new jobs that are on the line. It's also their lives.
This is the story of Andrew and Seraphina.
Of The Gun and The Nightflame."
